improve the health of the world’s poorest and most vulnerable people by closing
the gap between knowledge and action in public health. Together with our partners,
we are helping managers and leaders in developing countries to create stronger
management systems that improve health services for the greatest health impact.
Administrative Assistant Intern will be required to perform a range of administrative
and office support functions facilitating the efficient operation of the
country office.
Responsibilities:
- Handle incoming and outgoing written
correspondence, providing prompt responses and forwarding to appropriate
staff member where necessary. - Carry out general clerical duties
including photocopying, scanning and mailing. - Handle requests for information and data
and follow up with appropriate staff members. - Tasked with filing correspondences and
maintenance of office space and perform other duties specifically around
coordination of special events, or as assigned. - Schedule and coordinate meetings,
appointments and travel arrangements for staff members. - Manage office supply inventories and
coordinate maintenance of office equipment. - Ensure staff are notified in a timely
manner of upcoming deadlines. - Work in liaison with the Front desk
officers and other COMU staff.
Experience:
- The ideal candidates for the Management
Sciences for Health (MSH) Administrative Assistant Intern job should hold
a Bachelor’s degree in Social sciences - Excellent organizational, written and
verbal skills - Detail-oriented and committed to meeting
deadlines - Excellent interpersonal skills Works well
independently and as part of a team - Ability to adapt to shifting priorities
and manage multiple deadlines - Ability to problem-solve in a fast paced
work environment - Computer literacy i.e. working knowledge
of Microsoft Office programs, including Outlook, Word, and Excel - Must present a professional appearance and
a friendly manner - The Intern must be dependable and punctual
- Be courteous and personable when dealing
with the public - Be self-directed, willing to take
initiative, and detail-oriented - Respect and maintain confidentiality of
MSH partners, and donors
