Authority, and its mandate is to promote and oversee the coffee industry by
supporting research, promoting production, controlling coffee quality, and
improving the marketing of coffee in order to optimize foreign exchange
earnings for the country and payments to the farmers.
Resource Officer will implement HR-related activities in the benefits
administration, employee relations, training, performance management,
onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, employment law
compliance functional areas in accordance with approved guidelines and
procedures
Responsibilities:
- The jobholder will implement recruitment
activities for required Staff, including placement of temporary employees
and interns, and conduct new-employee orientations as well monitor
career-pathing program. - Support the Performance Management process
following the established performance management system. - Administer the employee compensation
program in line with approved policies and guidelines. - The incumbent will maintain human resource
information system records and compiles report from established databases. - Coordinate the staff capacity building
exercises in accordance with the UCDA staff development policy. - Offer timely support in contractual
processes and managing of staff exit processes / handover processes. - Implement and oversee Staff’s adherence to
the Staff Code of conduct and other Staff disciplinary related cases. - Support in handling employee relations
counseling, outplacement counseling and exit interview, management of
staff queries and grievances / staff relationship management. - The incumbent will also implement the
Occupational Health, Safety and Environment policies and procedures - Prepare and submit periodical reports as
requested by the supervisor. - Carry out any other duties as assigned
from time to time.
Experience:
- The ideal candidate should hold a
Bachelor’s Degree (First Class or Upper Second class) in Human Resource
Management, Organizational Psychology, Business Administration, or Social
Sciences from a recognized university; - Possession of a Masters’ Degree in Human
Resource Management. - A minimum of five years of related
experience in Human Resource Department in a reputable organization or NGO - Familiarity with Balanced Score Card
system will be an added advantage - Excellent inter-personal skills, and a
good understanding of human relationships - Good guidance, counselling and negotiation
skills, at all levels; - Good team work skills;
- Excellent oral and written communications
skills in English
