Board and NGO Forum. IAU is actively involved in programs geared towards the
protection and improvement of lives of disadvantaged people living in urban and
rural areas in Uganda and in the Great Lakes Region. InterAid Uganda is focused
on its thematic areas of Rights Protection, Education, Livelihood & Food
Security, Health (HIV&AIDS; Malaria; Maternal and Reproductive Health),
Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH), Environment and Disaster Management and
good Management and Governance systems.
Counsellor will conduct confidential HIV and AIDS pre and post-test counselling
for both on-site and off-site with the best practices for HIV and AIDS counselling and ensure access to Reproductive Health and HIV services
optimally by clients.
Experience:
- The ideal candidate for the InterAid
Uganda Limited (IAU) HIV/AIDS Counsellor job opportunity should preferably
hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Social work, Social Sciences, Counselling,
Psychology or Diploma in Medical/Health, or its equivalent from a
recognized Institution. - Additional post graduate training in
HIV/Aids Counselling is desirable - At least three years of relevant work
experience in counselling related to HIV and AIDS - Good listening skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills
