Infrastructure Manager
Uganda covering several districts through 147 networked branches targeting
Micro, Small and Medium Entrepreneurs of Uganda. BRAC boasts of promoting
financial inclusion by extending financial services to the un-served and
underserved, now with over 212,000 borrowing clients, over 150Bn loan book with
98% recovery rate, operationally and financially self sustaining.
Responsibilities:
- Provide support in the installation,
deployment and maintenance of servers, desktops, printers, telephony and
other hardware across both production and DR environments, and provide
timely and efficient user support across networks, desktops and
applications. - Support the various processes to identify,
control and account for assets throughout their cycle from ‘Receipt’ to
ultimate ‘Disposal’ - Tasked with the installation, deployment
and maintenance of servers, etc, user support across networks, desktops
and applications. - Infrastructural support in all major
projects and initiatives, implement and support ICT security guidelines
prescribed in the policy. - Perform any other duty as may be assigned.
Experience:
- The ideal candidate for the BRAC IT
Infrastructure Officer job opportunity should hold a Degree/Diploma in
computer science or IT business with preference for a BSc. (Computer/IT). - Possession of certifications in ITIL V3
Foundation, CCNA, A+ is an added advantage - At least two years’ experience in
implementing standard desktops and server builds in a sizable organization
that provides a functional and serviceable platform for the business,
across multiple hardware and software platforms. - Exposure to the Banking/ ICT industry,
ITIL V3 Foundation experience - Previous experience within/slim client
technologies, desktops hardware and associated peripherals, printing
platforms. - Extensive knowledge of operating systems
and hardware configurations, interpersonal skills, analytical skills
application letters, Curriculum Vitae not scanned (including bio-data such as:
Date of birth, Education qualification, language proficiency, work experience
and at least three professional referees in Ms. Office Word Document) and all
scanned copies of academic /other supporting documents. They should all be
