Company that was incorporated and started operations in 2008 in Uganda. UMF is a micro-finance institution involved in small
and medium credit financing.
Responsibilities:
- The Branch Accounts Assistant will be
responsible for preparing the branch financial reports; - The incumbent will also reconcile various
general ledger accounts to ascertain accuracy of data in the system and
the genuineness of transactions for the branches allocated. - Take part in stock taking of assets and maintenance
of asset registers - Track money transfer, movement in balances
of the various line items. - Reconcile assets and liabilities accounts
and follow up the items on the account. - Responsible for processing of
payments, filing receipts and
invoices to ensure
smooth operations and
proper custody of the branch documents. - Ensure
accurate fixed asset
register through monitoring of
fixed assets of the branch for adequate fixed asset
management. - Control branch expenses
Experience:
- The ideal candidate should preferably hold
a Degree in accounting from a reputable institution. - Professional accounting qualifications
i.e. CPA, ACCA - Prior exposure and experience in
financial/MFI environment will be an added advantage.
