Job Summary: The Business
Development Executive sits at the heart of growth of top line drive for Direct
Access Limited. The role encompasses three (3) core areas of focus: New
Business Acquisition, Retention of Existing Business and Key External
Stake-Holder Relationship Management
Key Duties and
Responsibilities:   
New Business Acquisition:  The
BDE is responsible for the ‘hunting’ of new customers for Direct Access in line
with the set strategies. Broadly this role will include the following:
  • Active Participation in setting of Sales
    Targets and formulation of Sales Strategies to attain Targets.
  • Ensure active Participation in gathering,
    analyzing and interpreting of information deemed relevant to the growth of
    sales in DAL.
  • Tasked with the development of and
    maintaining a rich sales pipeline and with conversion as per agreed Key Performance
    indicators.
  • Ensuring new business opportunities are
    equitably apportioned per market segment, as well as products in Direct
    Access Limited.
Retention of Existing Business:
  • Development of and maintaining a rich
    retention sales pipeline for existing customers geared at growth of
    existing customers share of wallet.
  • Planning and Execution of activities
    geared towards retention of existing customers.
Key Stake Holder Relationship:  Ensuring
Regular Participation in Key Industry Stake Holder events both in person and
online to ensure that the presence of DAL is well represented.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:  
  • The applicant should at least hold a Bachelor’s
    Degree in relevant discipline. Post Graduate Qualification especially in
    Marketing is added advantage.
  • Excellent interpersonal and networking
    Skills (including social media)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Shrewd negotiation skills
  • Inherent Analytical Capabilities – MS.
    Excel, CRM.
  • Pro-activity.
