Church of Uganda is governed by the Provincial Assembly.
Finance, Planning and Investments /Provincial Treasurer will be responsible for
the overall provision of efficient financial and accounting services, and for
advice and training in financial matters for the Coll. The jobholder will also
establish and develop the function of Integrated Planning for the Coll. The
incumbent will establish and develop the function of Investment for the Coll.
Responsibilities:
- Manage Financial, Planning and Investment
Policies of the Coll - CoU Strategic planning / direction
- Tasked with financial resource
mobilization - In charge of budgeting
- Manage debtors’ portfolio through
efficient and effective execution of credit control procedures, and the
credit portfolio by ensuring that defined creditors’ terms are - Manage financial controls
- Responsible for investments management
- Manage Financial Reporting and Accounting
- Tasked with fixed assets register
management - Taxes and statutory obligations management
- Establish a retirement benefit fund for
staff - In charge of staff capacity building and
supervision - Serve as the secretary to the Provincial
Board of Finance, Planning and Investment - Perform any other related duties as may be
assigned from time to time
- The applicant must hold an MBA / Masters
in Planning and Development / Masters in Economics and any other related
field. Also, posses a Bachelors Degree in Commerce or Business
Administration - Full professional qualifications in
relevant fields i.e. ACCA/CPA/CIMA - A minimum of ten years of relevant work
experience in the respective sector and with at least five years at
managerial level - Proven experience of working in and
strategically planning for a large and complex organization - Substantial experience of building
effective working relationships with other financial professionals and
with non-finance managers/budget holders - Extensive knowledge of using computerized
financial accounting & planning packages - Good analytical and problem solving skills
