The head offices are located at 14Km on Entebbe Road, with a second factory
situated at Kamonkoli in Eastern Uganda.
Officer will be responsible for supporting the Internal audit Function at
Uganda Clays through the coordination and management of activities that will
ensure the implementation of an independent and systematic approach which
evaluates and improves the effectiveness of policies, procedures and standards
designed so as to add value, improve and mitigate risk to UCL’s operations.
Responsibilities:
- Tasked with ensuring the achievement of
the audit objectives by having a well-coordinated audit engagement
executed on time through adequate allocation of resources - Assist the heads of department by reviewing
and monitoring the application of Uganda Clays Limited policies and
ensuring that they are consistently applied throughout the organisation
and where required provide feedback to the appropriate departs as to
ensure that the policies are updated to enable systematic implementation
of UCL’s operations - Conducting financial audits
- Prepare and submit reports that meet the
engagement objectives in providing management and the board timely,
accurate and constructive. - Review the risk identification, analysis,
evaluation and provide feed to departments for feedback. - Review the process of populating the
corporate register. - Lead the team of Audit Assistants, in a
manner that empowers them to carry out highly effective audits that add
value to Uganda Clays operations.
Experience:
- The applicant should hold a bachelor’s
degree in Commerce, Business Administration -Accounting. - Full professional qualification i.e. ACCA,
CPA or CIMA. Finalists in these professional courses will be considered. - A minimum of four years’ experience in
either external or internal audit gained from a reputable organisation at
middle or top management level. - Good knowledge in computerised accounting
and auditing. - Broad knowledge and understanding of
process flow and procedures. - Excellent interpersonal communication and
report writing skills. - Excellent analytical and problem solving
skills. - Excellent planning, organising and
coordinating skills. - Good analytical and problem solving
skills. - Ability to work with a minimum supervision
and exhibits high level of integrity.
