About Program:
Currently, Oxfam is implementing a humanitarian response to address the
humanitarian needs of South Sudanese refugees hosted in West Nile sub-region.
Oxfam’s areas of intervention include WASH, Emergency Food Security and
Vulnerable Livelihoods (EFSVL), Gender and Protection. Oxfam works with local
partners as a strategy for building humanitarian preparedness and response
capacity within the organisations.
Job Summary: The MEAL Officer
will work with Technical Coordinators (WASH, EFSL and Protection) and the
Program Quality Coordinator in developing/updating MEAL frameworks and tools
and, work with the project team in implementing MEAL framework and tools.
Key Duties and
Responsibilities:  
  • The incumbent will prepare a clear data
    collection plan in discussion with the technical team and lead on all
    field data collection exercises, data management and analysis and, analyse
    the data, together with the project team, and share them in the required
    format.
  • The MEAL Officer will also carry out periodic
    monitoring and technical support visits to partner working areas to assess
    progress against agreed MEAL system and recommend corrective actions as appropriate.
  • S/he shall work closely with partner MEAL
    teams or focal points on overall MEAL issues.
  • The jobholder will also collect best
    practices, case studies which demonstrate – qualitative and quantitative
    changes over the period.
     
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
  • The ideal candidate for the Oxfam MEAL Officer
    job placement must hold a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • Previous exposure and experience
    preferably with a non-profit organization
