Job Summary: The Laboratory
Technician will provide support in all laboratory activities as need arises and
ensure that the laboratory is in order.

Key Duties and
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- Prepare laboratory equipment for grading,
cupping, sensory tasting and analysis; - The incumbent will also be roasting and
grinding of coffees as per set standards; - Tasked with keeping proper custody of
equipment, chemicals and reagents in line with the Standard Operating
Procedures; - Conduct analysis of coffee samples, soil
samples and other coffee-related products - Prepare requisitions for laboratory
materials, chemicals and equipment in line with established guidelines; - Ensure that the laboratory is safe and
everything therein; - Perform any other duties as assigned from
time to time.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
Experience:
- The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor
of Science in Laboratory Science Management or related field from a
recognized university - Certificate in Basic Quality Control or Q
and R grading will be an added advantage. - At least three years of related work
experience; - Excellent time management skills
- Keen attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to use basic computer
packages
