Auditor
Since its formation in 2003, the University has established itself as one of
the leading Universities in Uganda offering a number of academic programmes in
line with vocational education, teacher training, hands-on engineering, special
needs training, social sciences, pure and applied sciences, entrepreneurship
and management that meet the Market remands and development needs of the
Country. The Strategic Focus Areas of the University include: Teaching
Learning; Research, Innovation and Knowledge Generation; Physical
Infrastructure, Facilities and ICT Development; Institutional Development and
Strategic Marketing.
Auditor (Systems) will carry out Internal Audit engagements in accordance with
laid down regulations and guidelines.
Responsibilities:
- The incumbent will design audit programmes
for carrying out a particular audit. - Tasked with co-ordinating audit efforts in
a Unit; that is faculties, schools, institutes. - Drawing audit plans
- Holding entry and exit meetings
- Conducting staff appraisal and staff
development.
- Audit programmes produced.
- Annual work plan implementation at the
unit, Faculty and School and Institute. - Entry and exit meetings minutes produced.
Experience:
- The ideal candidate must hold a Master’s
degree in Information Technology or Computer Science or Business
Administration or Public Administration or Finance and Education from a
recognized institution. - Possession of a Bachelors degree in
Information Technology or Computer Science or Business Computing or
Statistics or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution. - Professional qualifications such as CPA,
ACCA, CIA and Certified Information System Auditor (CISA) or a Certified
IT Professional in Information Security. - At least five years of experience in
internal auditing or external auditing or IT operations or financial
management. - Excellent interpersonal and communication
skills - High level of integrity
- Age: Below 55 Years
