2012. Umeme has over 620,000 customers of which 20% are on pre-paid metering, a

Job Summary: The Recruitment
and Assessment Specialist will be tasked with the recruitment and talent
acquisition activities for the company in line with the company approved
man-power plans

Key Duties and
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with Talent Manager to
develop and implement Umeme’s overall Talent Acquisition strategies. - Establish recruiting requirements by
studying organization plans and objectives and meeting with HRBPs/managers
to discuss needs. - The incumbent will also receive and follow
up internal manpower requests rerouting to responsible parties. - Attract applicants by placing Job
advertisements; contacting recruiters, and job sites. - Manage the internal staff vacancies
Advertisement process. - Ensure consistency in process including
establishment of interview panels, collection of forms, check and
maintenance of documentation and references - Oversee the process of collecting and
screening resumes, select potential candidates and provide short list of
approved candidates to Supervisors for interview.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
Experience:
- The applicant should preferably hold a
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Organizational and social
psychology or Social Sciences - Possession of a Postgraduate diploma in
Human Resource or management would be an added advantage. - Excellent planning and organizational
skills - Highly analytical skills
- Personal integrity and respect for
confidential information. - Sense of urgency; ability to assess and
meet priorities through good time management.
