to equip refugees and others affected by conflict in Africa to meet the
challenges of development through providing access to education, training, and
employment opportunities by advocacy and direct programme activity. Windle
Trust Uganda has been a leading provider of access to university education,
post-primary education, and vocational training for conflict-affected Africans
since 1996. WTU works in partnership with United Nations High Commissioner for
Refugees (UNHCR).
Responsibilities:
- Offer
technical and managerial supervision to all project staff to ensure a
high-quality project implementation to achieve maximum impact. - Ensure that all project staff has
realistic work plans that are implemented in accordance to the project
proposal. - Work
closely with the FA and DA, manage the project resources and data;
ensuring efficient usage and high standards of accountability. - Build
networks and develop strategic alliances so that stakeholders work
together effectively to maximize benefits to the impact group to enhance a
collective capacity for influence and impact. - Conceptualize
and contribute to the design and implementation of project interventions - Ensure
timely submission of all project reports and adherence to donor report
requirements.
Experience:
- The ideal candidate should preferably hold
a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences or Development studies. - Possession of a post graduate in project
planning and management is an added advantage. - Previous experience in project management
in an NGO environment is required.
