multimedia business housing newspaper, magazines, internet publishing,
television, radio broadcasting, commercial printing, advertising and
distribution services. NVPPCL is listed on the Uganda Stock Exchange, with an
expected turnover of over UGX 60 billion (FY 2010/2011).

Job Summary: The System Accountant will support the Senior
System Accountant in the management of the Accounting Software system to ensure
efficient data capture and processing for timely reporting

Key Duties and
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- Create and set up new users and their
appropriate access rights. - Responsible for the creation and setting
up of new accounts and other codes. - Make alterations/ changes to the chart of
accounts after approval - Make sure queries from systems users are
successfully attended to. - Ensure daily backup of data and general
security of the system. - Input data in the accounting system
- Reconciliation of allocated accounts
- Processing freelancers and presenters payrolls.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
Experience:
- The System Accountant should hold a University
degree in Business Computing or Business Statistics. - One to two years’ experience in a busy work environment.
- Computer literacy skills i.e. proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting
software. - Highly analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal
skills. - High degree of personal integrity
- Detail-oriented
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Ability to multi task and deliver in a tight deadline driven environment
