Organization incorporated in Uganda in 2015 with NGO board registration number
11619. AFOD Uganda seeks to work closely with rural and urban poor communities
across the country to address their real needs and build local partnership with
institutions/communities and support community structures to jointly identify
and address the underlying causes of poor health and steer social change.
Assistant Food/Cash will mainly be supervising and coordinating the distribution
of cash and to beneficiaries, providing information to beneficiaries,
government officials and development.
Responsibilities:
- The
incumbent will be providing general administrative support to projects
under the direction of the supervisor. - Tasked
with preparing proposals, plans and reports. - Organizing
and maintaining project files and databases. - Assist
in monitoring the project budget, scheduling meetings and preparing
presentations. - Perform
any other relevant duties assigned from time to time by the immediate
supervisors
Experience:
- The applicant should preferably hold a
bachelor’s degree in project planning management or public administration
or business administration with the option of project planning and
management. - One year of work experience in the same
project or related is required. - Basic computer skills in Microsoft Word,
Excel and Power Point - Excellent communication skills, such as
writing, listening and speaking - Good planning and negotiating and report
writing skills. - Behavioural: Must be
influential, the ability to focus on multiple tasks at the same time, very
good public relations, patience and emotional intelligence.
