operations. Kakira Sugar is owned by the Madhavani Group and it is extracted
from cane grown on lush plantations on the shores of Lake Victoria. The sweet,
sparkling crystals with their distinctive taste and flavour, and rich golden
colour, have sweetened dishes all over Uganda since the 1930s.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:  
  • Tasked with arranging for the acquisition
    and retrieval of records/drawings.
  • Working closely with donors and depositors
    of archive materials from within the Group companies.
  • Preparing record keeping systems and
    procedures for archive research and for the retention or disposal of
    records.
  • The incumbent will be cataloguing
    collections and managing information and records.
  • Guiding users on how best to access, use
    and interpret archives.
  • Identifying ways of protecting and
    preserving records and collections.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience: 
  • The applicants should be holders of a
    Bachelor’s degree in either records and archives management or library and
    information science obtained from a recognised University.
  • A minimum of three years of related
    working experience.
  • Age: 25 years and above
