on poverty alleviation Programs, is registered in Uganda as BRAC Uganda. The
organization implements integrated development approach combining Education,
Health, Agriculture, Livestock, Adolescent Empowerment and Microfinance.
Business Enterprise Program:
for poor communities and generate profits which contribute to our development
programmes. In Uganda the social enterprise was started by establishing an
in-house seed production and processing center at Nakaseke.
Responsibilities:
- The incumbent will develop, refine and
implement strategic sales & marketing plans to achieve enterprise
objectives and optimize business growth opportunities - Develop product positioning, packing,
credit scheme and price strategy to grow market share - Direct sales forecasting, set performance
goals, develop market channels and coordinate sales distribution. - Optimize and standardize sales and
marketing processes both in the office & in the field. - Ensure effective control of sales &
marketing results and implement effective corrective measures as may be
required - The jobholder will also plan and oversee
advertising and promotion activities while maintaining sales and marketing
metrics on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis - Establish an assessable reporting system
for sales and marketing - Keenly monitor competitor products, sales
& marketing activities to understand the macro market situation and
guide appropriate interventions - Build and maintain relationships with
industry influences and key strategic partners - Oversee sales and marketing team training
& development, retention and general performance management.
Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s
degree in marketing. A Masters in Business - Administration with bias in Marketing is
added advantage. - At least five years’ experience in
managing large & geographically spread sales & marketing teams.
FMCG Sales and Marketing experience is highly preferred. - Solid background in developing &
managing sales in a dynamic business environment. - Demonstrated previous success in setting
and achieving stretch sales target - Excellent communication skills to
persuade, motivate & negotiate effective business partnerships &
relationships - Demonstrated ability to supervise,
motivate, inspire and establish trust among team members - Excellent organizational, coordination
& networking skills - Highly pro-active issues management skills
and decision making ability - Willingness to travel frequently,
Proficiency in local languages is a plus
