Caritas Uganda is the Socio-pastoral and development arm of the Uganda
Episcopal Conference based at the Uganda Catholic Secretariat in Nsamba,
Kampala. Its Vision is: “that they may have life and have it in its fullness”
(John 10:10), and mission is “to work towards a peaceful and prosperous society
where social justice, love, solidarity, reconciliation and economic justice
prevails.” Caritas Arua, in cooperation with Cordaid, is preparing a
humanitarian response in the settlements in West Nile, focusing on supporting
the refugees and host communities in a selected area. The programme will target
the sectors of Food Security and WASH, while mainstreaming Protection.

Job Summary: The Logistics
Officer will be providing logistical support to the whole programme
(procurement, supplies, vehicle management, ICT management, office management,
travels, security and other tasks).

Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
Experience:
- The ideal candidate should preferably hold
a Bachelor’s degree in relevant field - At least five years of experience as
logistical officer in emergency context, being responsible for procurement
and contract management, supplies, warehousing, reporting, ICT management,
HR and team management. - Previous experience with emergency camp
settings is an asset. - Excellent computer skills
- Possess a valid and clean driver’s licence
- Flexibility to perform different tasks and
outside office hours - Able to work under pressure, not a 9-5
mentality - Good English language skills
