Job Summary: The Livelihoods
Project Manager will oversee the implementation of a Cash for Work and
Livelihoods support project. They will have direct responsibility for the
project team, reporting to the Sub Area Manager. The post holder will be
responsible for ensuring the project is delivered on time and within budget.
The incumbent will also be responsible for all coordination with other actors
and officials in Yumbe district and Bidibidi settlement, including interactions
with other Save the Children projects and teams.
Project Manager will oversee the implementation of a Cash for Work and

Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
Experience:
- The ideal candidate for the Save the
Children Livelihoods Project Manager job placement should hold a Masters
Degree in international relations, international development, economics,
political science or other related field; - A minimum of seven years of relevant
professional work experience in project management, livelihoods,
microenterprise development; - Knowledge of West Nile, Uganda, and
displacement (refugee) context preferred; and - Proficiency in English, knowledge of the
local language is an advantage. - Prior exposure and experience working with
local partners and District Local Government in Child Rights Governance,
Health, Nutrition, Education, HIV/AIDS or Child Protection is an added
advantage. - Excellent analytical skills and strategic
planning abilities. - Ability to establish and maintain
conducive collegial relations and perform effectively as a member of a
team. - Willingness to travel and work in
hard-to-reach areas, occasionally under strenuous conditions. - Computer literacy and excellent
documentation skills are a must. - Highly developed cultural awareness and
ability to work well in an international environment with people from
diverse backgrounds and cultures. - Ability to intervene with crisis
management or troubleshooting as necessary. - Exceptional interpersonal and
communication skills including influencing, negotiation and coaching. - Excellent time management and planning
capacity. - Availability and willingness to work extra
hours during times of humanitarian responses.
