Key Duties and
Responsibilities:  
  • The jobholder is responsible for
    following-up on the various aspects of HSE Methods
  • Supporting the Senior HSE Methods Engineer
    in updating and developing the Health & Safety management System (HSE
    MS), ensuring that the National and International Oil & Gas
    regulations and best practice are incorporated in the Company’s Health
    & Safety reference documents.
  • Actively participating in the development
    of the Company’s H3SE procedures (in collaboration with operations
    disciplines) and HSE documents relative to the affiliate activities and
    operations.
  • Ensure the effectiveness of the Company’s
    Emergency Response System (improvement and maintenance of the ERC Room,
    update existing documents, organize emergency exercises and follow up
    actions…)
  • Take part in the management of Contractors
    and ensure they are compliant with affiliate HSE MS for the selection of
    Bidders, execution and closure of the contract (pre-qualification, HSE
    evaluation, audits…)
  • Organizing audits, issuing action plans.
    Follow-up on audit action plans and provide regular updates in including
    updating the HSE Committee and HSE board.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
  • The ideal candidates for the TOTAL Lead
    HSE Methods Engineer job opportunity must hold a Bachelor of Science in a
    technical field, preferably Occupational Health & Safety or Chemical
    Engineering
  • At least seven to eight years’ experience
    on Construction projects and production sites and/or operational affiliates
    in the upstream sector with a proven background in the Oil & Gas
    Industry
  • In-depth knowledge of International Health
    & Safety standards and Total’s HSE referential
  • Broad knowledge and understanding on HSE
    methods, Safety Operations issues and use of H3SE management Systems
  • High level of H3SE awareness and Safety
    culture
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal
    and organizational skills
