Job Summary: The IT Officer
will monitor and maintain the computer systems and networks of Victoria
University. The incumbent will install and configure computer systems, diagnose
hardware and software faults and solve technical and applications problems,
either over the phone or in person. It’s therefore crucial to ensure the
correct running and maintenance of the IT systems.

Key Duties and
Responsibilities:

Responsible for ICT related duties,
Management Information systems and Partnerships.
The incumbent will create and manage VU
website on daily basis
Guide on the purchase and maintenance of
VU ICT appliances and systems
Arrange and maintenance of partnerships
Create and maintain VU Information System
and records data base in liaison with the University MIS
Guide the University Registrar on
Schedules and proper follow of project activities

Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:

The ideal candidate must hold a
Postgraduate qualification in ICT – related fields
At minimum of three years of relevant
experience in management of ICT systems
Broad technical knowledge about IT,
security of systems and latest developments in the field
Excellent management, organization and
time management skills
Demonstrate leadership and management ICT
teams
Effective communication skills
Broad knowledge and awareness of new
technologies and implications of adopting the technologies in Higher
Prior exposure and experience in education
institution will be an added advantage
Extensive knowledge of Learning Management
Systems
The candidate should be mature,
self-driven and ready to work under pressure
Age: Above 25 years
