Programs Coordinator
research program that was established in 2002 as a result of a memorandum of
understanding between Makerere University and The Henry M. Jackson foundation
for Advancement of Military Medicine Inc. of USA (HJF). The primary purpose of
MUWRP is to develop, evaluate and provide interventions to mitigate disease
threats of public health importance to Uganda.
Prevention Programs Officer will support the design and delivery of HIV
prevention programs in MUWRP supported facilities and community Based programs.
The officer will work with the prevention and OVC teams support development and
adoption of innovative and evidence based interventions that support service
delivery to HIV prevention programs to reach children, adolescents, youth and adults.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the planning, implementation, and
evaluation of all HIV prevention programs in compliance with MoH, MoGLSD
and PEPFAR guidelines policies and procedures. - The incumbent will also leverage resources
from the other complementary programs to support implementation of the HIV
prevention program. - The jobholder will coordinate and monitor
performance of CBOs and CSOs supporting implementation of HIV prevention
programs. - Build awareness and generate demand for
HIV prevention and care services with a special focus on adolescent girls
and young women, OVCs, young men and adolescents. - Support collection, analysis and
validation of baseline and routine program data to support implementation
and routine program monitoring. - Work in liaison with MoGLSD and relevant
district based structures to support monitoring and reporting of HIV
prevention programs
Experience:
- The ideal candidate for the HIV Prevention
Programs Officer career opportunity should hold a Bachelor’s degree in
Social Work and Social Administration, Social Sciences, or any other
related field of study. - A minimum of two years of related working
experience in implementing HIV prevention programs. - Broad knowledge of Adolescent Sexual Reproductive
