orphans and vulnerable children (OVC) affected by HIV and AIDS and other
adversities. 4Children’s work utilizes global evidence establishing that HIV
and other adversities are best prevented and addressed when families and
children have access to both high quality health and social welfare services.
The project supports systems and structures at country and regional levels to
implement evidence-based interventions that protect against risk, interrupt
cycles of vulnerability, and build pathways to resilience leading to an AIDS
Free Generation and contributing to overall improvements in quality of life and
productivity for vulnerable children and their families.
Response Project Assistant (PA) will support all project administrative
functions. The PA will support the CMRR Project Manager by drafting project
documents and communications; scheduling, coordinating and managing logistics
for project-related meetings and events; and monitoring the financial and
administrative needs of the project. S/he will be a dynamic person with strong
interpersonal and organizational skills who thrives in a complex, busy work
environment.
- Conduct
administrative tasks related to all aspects of the CMMR activity. - Work
closely with the CRS Country Program to arrange all necessary logistics
for program activities, including workshops, trainings and meeting;
arranging transportation; photocopies etc. - Support
the CMRR Program Manager in tracking project activity schedules, including
monitoring progress against the project objectives, targets and timelines. - Assist
the CMRR Program Manager in the preparation of program correspondence,
reports, and other documents. - Assist
the CMRR to establish/maintain electronic files with all documents
related to activity planning, implementation, and monitoring. - Ensure
all received project materials are properly stored. - Perform
any other tasks as assigned by the CMRR Program Manager, that are
commensurate with the job level.
Experience:
- The ideal candidate for the Catholic
Relief Services (CRS) Project Assistant, 4Children job opportunity must
hold a Bachelor’s degree in
Administration, Social Sciences, Business Management or equivalent. - A
minimum of two (2) years’ work experience in a similar position,
preferably with an international NGO or UN agency with a good
understanding of project management, administration, HR and finance. - Previous
exposure and experience supporting the planning and organizing of
high-level internal and external meetings, workshops, and events,
including the ability to plan resources and actions for timely and
efficient service delivery. - Proven
ability to work in a fast-paced office environment, ability to assimilate
and analyze situations, plus skills in handling competing work
priorities. - Excellent
interpersonal skills – ability to interact effectively with internal and
external stakeholders at various levels. - Advanced
knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook,
and Internet) required. - Fluent
written and spoken English. - Show
desire to work effectively in a team oriented environment with minimal
