Job Summary: The Chief
Finance Officer will oversee the financial management activities of the Bank
and support the delivery of the bank’s overall strategic objectives.

Key Duties and
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- Develop strategic financial procedures to
support management decisions and maintain integrity of accounting
practices, reporting and disclosure. - Work in liaison with the Executive Team
and assist in strategy formulation, monitoring and delivery. - Tasked with the preparation of the Bank’s
annual budgets and forecast. - Ensure compliance with local regulatory
requirements as issued by the Central Bank, URA and other statutory
bodies. - Manage the financial risk for the bank to
achieve maximum efficiency. - Develop and implement MIS and financial
procedures for effective and efficient reporting to Regulators, the Board
of Directors, Management and Group office. - Oversee the preparation of year end
statutory accounts and statutory audit. - Manage, review and ensure timely reporting
of the monthly, quarterly, half yearly and annual financial results. - Manage the tax affairs of the bank.
- Manage, develop, train and direct the
entire finance team. - Build and maintain external relationship
with regulators, auditors and third party stakeholders.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:

- The ideal candidate for the Ecobank Chief
Finance Officer job opportunity must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance,
Accounting or any other related discipline. - Professional qualification like ACCA / CPA
/ CIMA. - At least eight years’ experience in a
middle or senior Finance position preferably with a banking or financial
institution. - Previous experience in dealing with
regulators such as the Central Bank and Tax authorities. - Sound knowledge of banking products and
their accounting treatment. - Good analytical skills with a high sense
of business acumen. - Excellent interpersonal, teamwork &
leadership skills. - Good negotiation and stakeholder’s
management skills. - Good presentation and communication
skills. - Ability to work under tight deadlines
while ensuring accurate data delivery.
