contributing to a process of preventing HIV infection, restoring hope and
improving the quality of Life of persons, families and communities affected by
HIV infection and disease.
HIV/AIDS epidemic control activities through a Health Systems Strengthening
approach in Soroti Region, covering 8 districts of Soroti, Kaberamaido (Cluster
1), Katakwi, Amuria (Cluster 2), Serere, Kumi, Bukedea and Ngora (Ouster 3). In
addition, TASO will be implementing accelerated HIV/AIDS epidemic control
activities through a Health Systems Strengthening approach in Masaka and
Kalungu districts, as a Sub-recipient under the Masaka Region Rakai Health
Sciences Program (RHSP) Consortium funded by PEPFAR through CDC.

Responsibilities:
- Configure and install user software on all
User PCs - Ensure that all TASO computer networks are
always operational - Manage the Email server function
- Maintain and update anti-virus and
Anti-spam systems - Provide systems administration and ensure compliance
to the exiting IT policies
Experience:
- The ideal candidate for the CDC Project Information
Technology Officer t job opportunity should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in
Computer Science or Information Technology - At least three years’ experience in a
networking environment. - Skills in network management, leading to
MCSE/CCNA/ A+ certification - Broad knowledge of MS Windows, Linux
operating systems, - Broad knowledge of MS Office suite of
programs - In-depth knowledge of computer network
system protocols (IP addressing, TCP/IP networks) - Broad knowledge of the procedures used in
the installation, modification, maintenance and repair of IT hardware and
software Server and desktop virtualization - Skills in application software and statistical
packages used at TASO - Skills in administration of MS Windows or
Linux server operating systems and communication and Training skills.
