Development Corporation (CDC) of the United Kingdom and the Government of
Uganda through the Uganda Development Corporation (UDC) under the name of
Development Finance Company of Uganda Limited. Later restructuring brought in
DEG (of Germany) and International Finance Corporation (IFC) as equal partners
with CDC and UDC, each having a 25% stake in the company. Its objective was to
support long-term development projects whose financing needs and risk did not
appeal to the then existing financial commercial lending institutions.

Job Summary: The Business Analyst-Home Loans job

- Achieve
a high level of client relationship management. - Portfolio
and arrears management. - Provide
responsive, proactive, proficient and effective banking services to
customers. - Extensive
cross selling to existing customers through relationship management. - Ensure
good retention strategy for the existing clientele, there by
growing the portfolio. - Attend
to customer queries on a day to day basis.

- Provide
superior relationship management, customer retention, loyalty, preference
& devotion. - The
jobholder will manage the portfolio effectively to ensure
performance through timely repayments, renewals and take proactive
approach to deal with poorly performing facilities. - Portfolio
growth through cross-selling to enhance growth in customer numbers and
deposits. - Generate
additional funding requests and renewal of facilities. - The
incumbent will improve on relationship management through regular visits,
timely feedback to clients and continuous anticipation of their needs with
the aim to exceed their expectations. - Tasked
with the resolution of client queries and giving of timely feedback
as per policy. - Compile
and submit weekly and monthly arrears management reports. - Tasked
with market intelligence feedback on products /competition and how they
are doing. - Interfacing
with clients on a day to day basis to address their queries.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
Experience:
- The applicant for the DFCU Business
Analyst-Home Loans job opportunity must hold a university degree in business-related fields. - Good
track record in sales management. - A
minimum of three to five years’ experience in banking of which two to
three should be in relationship management & sales. - Ability
to work under pressure. - Broad
knowledge and understanding of all bank products compiled with intensive
training. - Computer
literacy skills - Relevant
business acumen - Outgoing,
self-motivated, self-starter, assertive and proactive - Excellent
communication and negotiation skills - Good
team player who is able to work under minimum supervision
