Job Summary: The Project
Assistant WASH will be responsible for
assisting in implementing project activities.

Responsibilities:
- Provide support in monitoring quality
implementation of sustainable WASH activities under the project in
Palorinya refugee settlement and zone 5 of Bidibidi emergency operations. - Actively participate in WASH coordination
meetings on behalf of IOM in the refugee settlement. - Provide support in the identification of
potential persons /groups in the refugee community for training on
sustainable WASH. - Tasked with monitoring that the hygiene
and sanitation project work-plan is followed and set goals are met within
the time-frame and quality as per provided standards and frame works. - Report regularly to supervisor(s) on
project progress and any issues relating to the smooth implementation of
the project. - Oversee the day-to-day construction of
institutional latrines, bathing shelters, incinerators and placenta pits
in Palorinya settlement while ensuring compliance to provided designs. - Ensure beneficiary, local leaders
involvement in the project implementation - Establish and maintain accurate and
complete records of all equipment and supplies received, stored and
distributed to refugees. - Perform any other duty within the
incumbent’s capabilities as assigned by the Supervisors

Experience:

- The ideal candidate for the International
Organization for Migration IOM Project Assistant (WASH) job placement
should hold a High School Degree/ Certificate with minimum 4 years of
relevant professional experience or Bachelor’s degree with minimum 2 years
of relevant professional experience in Public health/environmental health/
civil and construction engineering from an accredited institution. - Relevant professional experience in
Hygiene and Sanitation implementation approaches (CLTS, PHAST and UMOJA)
preferably in emergency settings. - Additional certifications in Sanitation
and hygiene promotion are added advantages - Fluent in English. Working knowledge of
other UN languages is desired
