The Office of
Central Support Services (OCSS) ensures continued efficient, effective and
high-quality support for substantive programmes in the areas of procurement,
office space management facilities operation, broad casting support and oversees
property management. Central support is also provided in the areas of travel
and transportation, mail and pouch services, records management, commercial
activities, and business continuity management. In addition, OCSS is
responsible for the United Nations Postal Administration and the United Nations
Archives.

Procurement Office in Entebbe, Uganda and the overall supervision of Chief,
Field Procurement Service, the Procurement Officer will be responsible for the

Serves as a senior procurement and contracting
expert in the Regional Procurement Office (RPO) with responsibility for the
world-wide procurement of a wide variety of supplies and services associated
with highly complex (technically and legally) contracts and procurement
activities; may lead procurement work for a segment of a central or large
peace-keeping program.

and, in cases where the amount exceeds authorized signature authority, prepares
submissions to the Contracts Committee for review and subsequent approval by
the authorized official.

should hold an Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in
business administration, public administration, commerce, supply chain, law or
a related field. A first-level university degree in combination with two
additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the
advanced university degree.
