Hunger (ACF)
over thirty years, ACF has been
implementing Food Security and Livelihoods, Nutrition, Water, Sanitation and
Hygiene programs in the Lango, Acholi, West Nile and Karamoja regions in
Uganda.
Responsibilities:
- The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will
support the PQACO and PMs to develop data collection tools and procedures
basing on project indicators. - Assist in tracking program/Project
progress and activities performed in line with agreed work plans.
- The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will
also assist in the design and implementation of appropriate M& E
systems. - Support the development of independent
feedback mechanism for ACF. - Prepare and submit regular program
reports, visibility and behavioral change communication messages. - Provide support in the development of
monthly costs, budgets, purchase requisition and provision of needed
incentives in surveys, monitoring, evaluation and learning activities
- The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will
participate in coordination meetings as delegated by National PQA coordinator
- Provide support to PMs and Project
Coordinators with updated trends of project and indicative performance on
a regular basis. - Explain ACF Monitoring and evaluation
process, reports and position with external stakeholders and participants
where necessary.
Experience:
- The applicant for the Action Against
Hunger ACF Monitoring and Evaluation Officer career opportunity should
preferably hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, international
development, statistics, public health, demography or related subject,
with previous experience working in humanitarian projects. - Additional qualification in bio
statistics, medical anthropology is an added advantage - At least four years of M&E related
work experience - Previous experience in data collection,
collation, analysis, and report writing - Demonstrated knowledge of M&E concepts
and international humanitarian quality standards - Previous exposure and experience with
mobile data collection, Quantum Global information System (preferred) - Fluency in English (both written and
spoken skills) - Professional, motivated, open, creative,
mature, responsible, flexible and, culturally sensitive - Excellent organizational and analytical
skills, and ability to work under pressure - Excellent team, budget and project
management and representation competencies - Excellent verbal and written skills in
English - Excellent computer skills, particularly
with Microsoft Excel, spreadsheets, Sphere standard, SPSS, SPHINX, or
other statistical packages - Willingness and ability to be based in
Yumbe and travel regularly within remote areas, where services are limited - Excellent interpersonal and community
norms understanding - Previous exposure and experience in
community development programming, preferably in nutrition, food security,
livelihoods or WASH - Experience with mobile data collection
processes and platforms - Experience in statistical analysis with
participatory fieldwork methodologies
