Job Summary: The Human
Resource Officer will support the efficient and effective management of the
Human Resources of the main office in Kampala as well as the field offices in
Moroto and Yumbe, with a particular responsibility for staff recruitment, HR
policy development and implementation, and staff welfare within the framework
of DanChurchAid Staff manual for Country Offices, the organization policies and
procedures, and Ugandan Labour Laws.
Resource Officer will support the efficient and effective management of the
Human Resources of the main office in Kampala as well as the field offices in
Moroto and Yumbe, with a particular responsibility for staff recruitment, HR
policy development and implementation, and staff welfare within the framework
of DanChurchAid Staff manual for Country Offices, the organization policies and
procedures, and Ugandan Labour Laws.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Staff recruitment, contracts, inductions,
performance reviews and exit interviews in dialogue with line managers; as
well as develop and maintain appropriate filing systems - Tasked with reviewing, updating and
implementing the Staff manual – for Kampala and field-based staff - Guiding the management on HR-related
matters including staff welfare issues - Tasked with contributing to DCA Uganda
complaint handling mechanism, and updating and implementing security SOP. - Actively engage with government institutions
such as MGLSD, NSSF and Immigration, and keep updated on Ugandan Labour
Laws.

Human Resource Officer job opportunity should hold a post-graduate degree
in Human Resource Management - A minimum of four years’ experience
working in a similar position with an INGO - Proven capacity to prioritize tasks, plan
and organize your own efforts to meet objectives and deadlines. - Excellent interpersonal and communication
skills - Keen eye for detail and strong analytical
skills
