Job Title:   Head of Marketing
Organisation: International Solar Energy Provider
Duty Station: Mbarara,
Uganda
Reports to: General Manager
About US:
An International leading Solar Energy Provider In Uganda operating in
Western Uganda in the districts of Mbarara, Ibanda, Kiruhura, Bushenyi, Sheema,
Ntungamo, Rubirizi, Isingiro, Mitooma, Ibanda, Kyegegwa, Sembabule and Buhweju.
Key Duties and
Responsibilities:  
  • Formulate and implement the organizational
    sales and marketing plans in line with the overall business strategy, look
    out for new target customers and new growth opportunities in the market
  • Coordinate and manage the operations of
    the Energy Stores and ensure that the Sales and Marketing team is well
    motivated and productive
  • Participate in the selection and
    recruitment process in order to ensure the right people for the right jobs
    in the team and ensure that all staff in the sales team have proper job
    descriptions
  • Setting performance targets, monitoring
    performance through regular appraisals of the team at the Energy Stores
  • Ensure regular and timely reporting of
    sales and Marketing performance to the management team
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience: 
  • The ideal candidate should hold a
    Bachelor’s Degree in any business related course from a recognized
    University.
  • A minimum of four years’ experience in top
    management level, working in a business environment.
  • A team leader, goal-driven,
    result-oriented individual with ability to work under pressure, meet
    targets and with good management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and have
    the ability to deliver sales, be able to speak local languages and able to
    work in a rural setting under minimum supervision.
  • Previous exposure and experience in sales
    and marketing
  • Broad knowledge and understanding of
    working with targets
  • Hold a valid driver’s license
  • Proven ability to carry out direct selling
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor sales staff
    to achieve greater sales figures
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a
    self-disciplined & proactive manner.
  • Good negotiation skills and customer
    focused
  • Good team player with high levels of
    flexibility.
  • Proven report writing skills.
  • Ability to drive manual car with driver’s
    license.
  • Knowledge in solar services will be of an
    added advantage
  • Age: Above 30 years
