Officer – Documents
Statutory Body under the Uganda Registration Services Bureau Act Cap. 210, Laws
of Uganda 2000 Edition. The Bureau is a key player in commercial and civil
registrations that facilitate private sector development and vital statistics
for national planning.
Officer – Directorate of Business Registration will provide support in the implementation
of day-to-day operations of the registration of documents ensuring that they
are in compliance with the statutory requirements and URSB policies and
guidelines
Responsibilities:
- The Registration Officer receives and
processes applications for the registration of documents. - Conducts searches in the business registry
and examination of applications, prepare search reports and provide
feedback to clients on search requests. - Ensures certification and verification of
documents and ensures quality assurance of statutory requirements - Captures data of document registration in
the system - Addresses questions and queries from
interested persons on registration of documents, prepare legislative
action plan, and review existing laws on documents registration for
conformity and compliance with
statutory requirements. - Assesses and collects non-tax revenue
accruing from registrations - Performs any other duties that may be
assigned from time to time by the Senior Registration Officer – Documents
Experience:
- The ideal candidate for the Uganda
Registration Services Bureau (URSB) Registration Officer – Directorate of
Business Registration job vacancy must hold an Honours degree in law,
social sciences or related discipline. - Comprehensive knowledge of relevant
legislation relating to registration duties. - Excellent interpersonal, analytical,
mentoring and communication skills. - Ability to liaise and network with other
Government Departments. - Ability to work in a team
