Justice Mission (IJM)

Director of Human Resources
protects the poor from violence throughout the developing world. International
Justice Mission partners with local authorities to rescue victims of violence,
bring criminals to justice, restore survivors, and strengthen justice
systems. The International Justice
Mission (IJM) Uganda is working to eliminate property grabbing in Uganda by
bringing rescue and restoration to individual victims, accountability to their
perpetrators, and transformation to the public justice system as a whole.
Human Resources Volunteer will support the National Director of Human Resources
with some of the day to day Staff Care and Human Resources responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
- Provide
support in the administration of staff care, development and training
activities, including booking trainers, rooms, refreshments, taking
bookings and cancellations, issuing certificates and updating training
records as required including the National Staff retreats. - Support
the Kampala FO recruiting process as required. - Support
the National Director of Human Resources with the coordination and support
of the National Overnight Retreat of both Field Offices; the
National Leadership retreat and other National initiatives as requested. - Maintain
up-to-date records (manual and computerized) relating to all areas
of HR activity. - Ad
hoc administration duties such as photocopying and filing for the National
HR Team. Development: Participate in IJM programs in
professionalism and Christian spiritual formation.
Experience:
- The
ideal candidate should preferably hold a Bachelor’s degree in relevant
field. Human Resources training is preferred. - One
year of experience in HR/Admin or Front Office Management or
similar position preferred. - Excellent
communicator with fluency in English and Luganda, organizational and
customer service skills along with a high level of proficiency in
the Microsoft Office Suite. - Hold a valid driver’s license and experience driving manual vehicles preferred.
- Keen
attention to detail, be able to multi-task successfully, handle stressful
situations in a professional manner, and consistently present a
positive image to internal and external customers. - Mature
Christian faith as defined by the Apostles’ Creed. - Passionate
commitment to IJM’s mission and values. - Great
personality with ability to work well under stress with a sustained
positive attitude. - Exceptionally
high level of honesty and integrity. - Professional
in demeanor, appearance, writing and oral communication. - Ability
to cooperate effectively in a multi-cultural environment.

letter or submitted as a separate document and should include, at a minimum, a
