Reach Out Mbuya Parish HIV/AIDS Initiative is a PEPFAR/CDC supported
community faith based NGO that was established in 2001 with the mission: “To
curb the further spread of HIV infections by educating all residents of Mbuya
Parish about HIV/AIDS, and to enable those who are already living with HIV/AIDS
to live a responsible, positive, and dignified life.” Reach Out delivers
comprehensive HIV services through four static clinics, several mobile outreach
clinics through public-private partnerships within Kampala, Wakiso and Luwero.

Director will provide overall strategic leadership and management and to ensure
that strategic goals and mission of ROM are accomplished

Responsibilities:

- Provide strategic direction in the
implementation of ROM programmes - Steer the formulation of ROM strategic and
development plans and ensure their timely implementation and monitoring - The incumbent will also present ROM work
plans and budgets to the BOD and to development partners as required - Lead the attraction and retention of
resources for ROM programs and institutional sustainability - Take lead and inspire a multicultural group
of staff, stakeholders and partners - Translate ROM vision and mission into
programs and outputs that enhance health in communities - Ensure excellent management systems that
provide full accountability for ROM programs and resources - Ensure ROM programs and outputs are
aligned, relevant and contributing to national and global knowledge,
policy and practice - Develop and sustain engagement of ROM
stakeholders including members, clients, partners and donors
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Masters’ Degree
and/or postgraduate training in a relevant field. - Medical training and experience in
clinical care and research is an added advantage. - A minimum of five years’ experience in a
senior management position. - Extensive knowledge of HIV/AIDS
programming and management - Knowledge and competency in management of
financial resources and budget - Governance experience of working with a
board - Previous experience of working in donor
environment - Visionary, passionate and self-driven
individual with a track record of leading and managing institutions of
high repute, excellence and results.
