About US:
An International leading Solar Energy Provider In Uganda operating in
Western Uganda in the districts of Mbarara, Ibanda, Kiruhura, Bushenyi, Sheema,
Ntungamo, Rubirizi, Isingiro, Mitooma, Ibanda, Kyegegwa, Sembabule and Buhweju.
Key Duties and
Responsibilities:  
  • Ensure timely collection of all the
    invoiced money
  • The jobholder will coordinate with all the
    Branch Managers and Accounts department about the collect data in the
    field and make sure that the right debtors list is issued.
  • Ensure regular and timely reporting of
    debt collection performance to the Finance Manager
  • The incumbent will evaluate and provide
    recommendations of the clients to be disconnected and repossessed in
    coordination with the Branch Managers.
  • Tasked with analyzing the performance of
    the debt collection teams and make recommendation on how improvement can
    be made and applying appropriate debt collection strategies and tools
  • Setting debt collection performance
    targets, monitoring performance through regular appraisals of the team at
    the Branch Offices
  • Ensuring efficiency of the billing systems
    and implementing appropriate actions on non paying clients
  • The incumbent will also identify clients
    requiring legal action and coordinate collections with third party
    contractors
  • Enforce the company’s debt collection
    policy and procedures
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience: 
  • The applicant must hold professional
    qualification in accounting (CPA II, or ACCA II)
  • At least three to four years’ experience
    in debt collection
  • At least three years of previous
    experience in an audit firm or in a business environment and credit
    management
  • A team leader, goal-driven,
    result-oriented individual with ability to work under pressure and meet
    targets.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Computer literacy skills i.e. proficiency
    in the use of Microsoft office
  • Ability to work under minimum supervision.
  • Good skills in accounting and credit
    management
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good leadership skills
  • Good ability to work in a team and to
    communicate with members
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet
    targets with minimum supervision
  • Flexibility and ability to work in rural
    areas under difficult circumstances
  • Very good level of integrity, honesty and
    a strong sense of ethics
  • Ability to ride or drive
  • Age: Above 30 years
