About Us:
Reach Out Mbuya Parish HIV/AIDS Initiative is a PEPFAR/CDC supported
community faith based NGO that was established in 2001 with the mission: “To
curb the further spread of HIV infections by educating all residents of Mbuya
Parish about HIV/AIDS, and to enable those who are already living with HIV/AIDS
to live a responsible, positive, and dignified life.” Reach Out delivers
comprehensive HIV services through four static clinics, several mobile outreach
clinics through public-private partnerships within Kampala, Wakiso and Luwero.
Job Summary: The Clinical
Services Coordinator will provide quality medical care and health education to
ROM clients and to ensure smooth running of clinic activities
Key Duties and
Responsibilities:  
  • Provide medical care to ROM clients and
    provide health information aimed at reducing their vulnerability to AIDS
    and other HIV related diseases and infections
  • Take part in the drawing and
    implementation of medical work plans and budgets
  • Build the capacity of nurse clinicians and
    other health workers from communities/ institutions
  • Keenly monitor activities of medical staff
    at the clinic sites
  • Work in liaison with the medical services
    manager and the different supervisors to contribute to revision and
    development of various clinical guidelines
  • Keenly analyse and interpret clinic data
    for improved program performance
  • Participate in CMEs and in-house training
    for the medical team
  • Conduct weekly and emergency home and
    hospital visits
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual
    reports
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience: 
  • The applicant must hold a Bachelors of
    Medicine and Surgery (MBChB)
  • A minimum of three years’ experience in a
    similar position, preferably HIV/AIDS setting
  • Extensive knowledge and competency in
    HIV/AIDS management and care
  • Additional training on HIV/AIDS care for
    both adults and children
  • Training in counselling        
  • Good computer, coaching, interpersonal, supervisory
    skills, and training skills
  • High degree of creativity
  • Objective decision making
  • Honest
  • Highly self-driven
  • Good listening skills
  • Good team player
