Key Duties and
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- Breeder flock production planning and
monitoring, by designing means to achieve set flock production and
performance targets and ensuring effective monitoring of the planned flock
management schedule. - The incumbent will also coordinate,
monitor and review the overall performance of the various poultry farms - In charge of the development of
vaccination programme per breed and regular review to ensure adherence to
the programme and development of amendments - Ensure flock health and Bio-security,
through set up guidelines that support farm staff in undertaking the tasks
and participating in monitoring general flock health - Ensure effective nutrition review and
monitoring and proper feeding of the flock - Actively participate and provide technical
support in disease diagnosis with the flock - Keenly review and analyse the Laboratory
results through collaborating with the veterinary laboratory services and
participate in developing appropriate mechanisms based on the results.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
Experience:
- The ideal candidate for the Breeder Farm
Manager job opporuntit should preferably possess a Bachelor’s degree in
Animal Production, Animal Husbandry or related field - At least six to eight years’ experience in
similar roles in a busy commercial setting - Good management skills
- Good leadership and training capacity
- Good reporting and organisational skills
- Analytical skills
- Problem solving /conflict resolutions
