on poverty alleviation Programs, is registered in Uganda as BRAC Uganda. The
organization implements integrated development approach combining Education,
Health, Agriculture, Livestock, Adolescent Empowerment and Microfinance.
About TUP Project:
The TUP (Targeting the Ultra Poor) programme is to assist the ultra
poor to improve their livelihoods and bring about positive changes in achieving
economic, social and inspirational changes, and assist them to access
mainstream development services. Consequently, the TUP programme has been
implemented as a part of BRAC’s holistic development approach geared toward
inclusion and to work towards achieving the sustainable development goals
(SDGs)..
Key Duties and
Responsibilities:  
  • Assist team Selection of target youth.
  • The incumbent will identify the local
    economic opportunities
  • Offer guidance and technical support to
    the target youth for working as per guidelines for livelihoods improvement
  • Tasked with supervising to ensure
    efficient and effective use of assets, cash and other inputs for improving
    economic and social conditions.
  • The jobholder will coordinate with the
    local government, NGOs and other development partners.
  • Prepare report and submit them to the
    Project Manager.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience: 
  • The ideal candidate must hold a Bachelor’s
    degree in economics, agribusiness or related development disciplines.
  • At least three years of related work
    experience in agribusiness development fields
  • Strong MEAL experience
  • Should be able to plan and deliver results
    and poses good people management skills.
  • Good computer skills (MS office
    proficiency), Report writing and analytical skills
  • Ability to speak the local language
    (Luganda or Swahili) will be added advantage.
