that offers simple and cost-effective Human Resource solution to our clients.
We have a rich experience in several industries ranging from Oil and Gas,
Insurance and financial services among others. They would like to recruit for a
valuable client, a distributor of premier and international personal care
products and confectionery brands and products such as Colgate, SC Johnson,
glade, Mr. Muscle, Cadbury chocolate, Axion, Protex, Palm Olive, Sta Soft, Tang
among others and that her client is into the distribution of premier wines and
spirits but on a low scale that it would like to scale up this product segment;
Her client deals with dealers and distributors for upcountry markets, direct
distribution in Kampala via direct distribution to retailers,
hyper-supermarkets and A & B class supermarkets.
Key Duties and
  • The Account Manager – AB will be checking
    for quantities of goods on the super market display and stock status plus
    working closely with the merchandisers to cross check products expiry
    dates and stock status in order to give timely feedback to the Company.
  • Tasked with collecting orders from various
    customers/supermarkets, advising the clients on forthcoming product
    developments, discussing special promotions and negotiating on price &
    space with clients. He/she keeps and maintains proper records of the
    orders and deliveries.
  • Listening to customer requirements and
    thus fulfilling appropriately to make a sale by gaining a clear
    understanding of client’s businesses and requirements for better business
  • Responsible for representing the company
    at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations and reporting on sales
    out-comes and field challenges.
  • In charge of maintaining an up to date
    record of contact details of all the clients for proper communication and
    developing relationships with existing customers.
  • Following-up on payment collections and
    submitting any cheque or cash collected from the customers to the accounts
  • Attending all weekly team meetings, ensure
    correct pricing of products in modern trade, and sharing best practices
    with colleagues on the sales strategies obtained.
  • Enhance merchandising and ensure rightful
    planogram space, identify and monitor Gondola usage and payments.

  • Meeting monthly sales targets
Qualifications, Skills and
  • The applicant should preferably hold a
    Bachelor degree from a Bachelor’s degree or diploma from a recognized
    University in Business, Sales & Marketing or related field,
  • At least two years’ experience in sales
    and marketing of FMCG products.
  • Good customer relationship management
  • Good negotiation skills
  • Strong motivation for sales
  • Good prospecting skills
  • Ability to meet sales goals
  • Good sales planning skills
  • Good sales skills and ability to
    communicate clearly and courteously; Fluent in spoken & written
  • Knowledge of local language is essential
  • Ability to handle sales related pressure
    and discipline to work alone for long periods;
  • Dynamic, innovative and creative person
    who is solution oriented;
