About Project:
Oxfam is implementing a humanitarian response to address the
humanitarian needs of South Sudanese refugees hosted in West Nile sub-region.
Oxfam’s areas of intervention include WASH, Emergency Food security and
vulnerable livelihoods (EFSVL), Gender and Protection. Oxfam works with local
partners as a strategy for building humanitarian preparedness and response
capacity within the organisations.
Key Duties and
Responsibilities:  
  • Tasked
    with office / compound management
  • Provide
    support in routine physical count of property and assets and
    maintain updated register, documenting discrepancies from the previous
    inventory
  • Manage
    stores ensuring frequent update of stock records.
  • Work
    closely with Finance Officer to manage casual staff payments.
  • Assist
    the Logistics Officer in compiling invoices, invoices and quotations
    for payments to send to Kampala head office
     
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
  • The ideal candidate for the Oxfam Logistics
    Assistant job placement must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Logistics from a recognised university
  • A
    minimum of two years’ experience and knowledge in logistics management
  • Previous
    exposure and experience working in partnerships an added advantage
  • Previous
    experience of emergency and development work, and an understanding of
    relevant issues.
