The Adventist Development and Relief Agency – ADRA Uganda is a
Humanitarian Non-Governmental Organization of the Seventh-day Adventist church
that demonstrates God’s love and compassion. The organization works with people
in poverty and distress to create just and positive change through empowering
partnerships and responsible action. Currently the organization implements
relief and development projects in West Nile, Acholi, Karamoja and
South-western Uganda.

Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
Experience:
- The ideal candidate for the WASH
Specialist job placement should preferably hold a Bachelors’ degree in any
of the following fields: Water Engineering; Public Health; Environmental
Management; or any other relevant degree. - Possess technical training and hands-on
experience in WASH in Emergencies and development projects / programs. - A minimum of three years’ working
experience in WASH, for refugees and displaced populations; - Hold a Valid motorcycle riding permit;
ability and willingness to stay in refugee camps; ability to work
independently and meet tight deadlines; - Computer literacy skills
- Ability to collect data, analyze it and
write good technical reports. - Good team player with good communication
skills, and a high level of integrity. - Hold a valid riding permit.
- Ability to work and live in the refugee
settlements; - Possess a very clean track record
- Ability to speak at least one of the major
languages spoken in West Nile region is an added advantage.
