Experience:
- The ideal candidate for the Lutheran World
Relief (LWR) Community Services Officer job placement should hold a
Bachelor’s degree in social science, project management, community
development from a reputable institution or a related discipline - A minimum of three years of progressive
experience gained within an international humanitarian NGO will be an
added advantage. - Previous interaction with Persons Living
with Disabilities (PWD’s) will be an advantage. - Previous exposure, experience and skills
in developing proposals, concept papers and reports writing. - Ability to manage a team and relate well
with the host community. - Previous experience in conducting
trainings, facilitation and capacity building of staff - Working knowledge and experience of
humanitarian principles, SPHERE and UNHCR standards and field security
protocols and procedures - Excellent computer skills in word
processing, database management, spreadsheets, use of internet and email. - Proven academic and/or on-job training on
‘Project Cycle Management”.
