URC manages projects in over 45 countries, including the United States.
Health Integration to Enhance Health Services in East Central Uganda Project
(USAID/Uganda RHITES-EC) whose aim is to support the implementation of a
comprehensive integrated investment in regional
health, nutritional assistance and HIV/AIDS programs. The five-year
project targets 11 districts in East Central Uganda with an estimated total
population of 4.1 million through a district-based integrated package of
quality health, nutrition, HIV / AIDS and child development services.
Management Specialist will be primarily responsible for the reception, issue
and custody of all items in the store for the USAID RHITES-EC project.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all items received,
appropriated stored and properly issued out - Ensure that the commodity reports are
produced in time - Up-to-date stock cards and perpetual
inventory maintained - Items kept in store in accordance with set
standards - Report on stores situation and
transactions produced - Regularly check all items brought into the
store and receive them - Issue items out of store against properly
authorized requisitions - Regularly update all stock cards and
perpetual inventory - Keep items in the store in accordance with
prescribed health, safety and other standards - Produce store reports on a monthly basis
- Provide input in maintaining required
stock levels - Ensure cleanliness and neatness of stores
- Maintain adequate security in the stores
Experience:
- The ideal candidate for the USAID
RHITES-EC Project Grants Assistant job vacancy should preferably hold a
Bachelor’s Degree in Purchasing and Supply/Stores Management or its
equivalent - At least four years’ experience in a busy
store or yard - Extensive Purchasing and Supply knowledge
is desired - Stores Management skills
- Knowledge of storage requirements for the
specific items stored - Excellent interpersonal skills
- Good communication skills
- Records management skills
- Hands-on-computer skills
- High degree of integrity and honesty is
desired
