Experience:
- The ideal candidate for the Lutheran World
Relief (LWR) Legal Officer job placement should hold a University degree
in law preferably with specialization in criminal or international law - Possession of a Diploma in Legal Practice;
- The applicant must be an enrolled advocate
with a valid/ current practicing certificate - At least three years’ experience working
with or representing asylum seekers/refugees before either a national or
international adjudicating body is strongly preferred; - Working knowledge or familiarity with
UNHCR guidelines and procedures, an added advantage; - Ability to exercise sound legal judgment,
well-organized, self-motivated and reliable with a demonstrated interest
in international & National human rights;
