Key Duties and
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- Actively participate in preparing the
Credit Business Departmental budget / Business Plan and achieve annually
set loan portfolio targets for Agriculture Lending Scheme. - Ensure that Pride’s Agriculture lending
policies are effectively complied with in all branches. - Ensure that the Agriculture Loan portfolio
quality is maintained within acceptable levels. - The incumbent will instill a professional
risk awareness culture. - Embed best practice recovery techniques in
the Agriculture Lending team. - Take part in the review and implementation
of Pride’s Agriculture Lending Policies and Procedures. - Participate in developing new products
under the Agriculture lending methodology and refine the existing ones. - Supervise and participate in appraisal of
loan underwriting. - Ensure promotion of products / services,
retention of current customers and develop new partnerships with potential
clients. - Play an active key role in developing and
delivering staff training programs covering appraisal techniques (cash
flow & ratio analysis, security etc…) and recovery. - The jobholder will be working with the
Legal team to perfect collateral and collateral substitutes. - Carry out routine inspection of branches
to ensure compliance with Pride’s agriculture lending policies and
procedures. - Undertake manpower planning requirements,
in consultations with respective Branch Managers, Regional Managers, Head
Human Capital Management and Head Credit Business Department. - Address client complaints in a timely
manner.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s
degree in Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Extension, Agricultural
Land Use and Management, Agribusiness Management, Agricultural and Rural
Innovation, Veterinary Science or in any other relevant / related field. - Possession of a post graduate diploma in a
related field. - Master’s degree in a related field,
ACCA/CPA is an added advantage. - At least 2 Principal passes at A’ Level.
- Credits in Maths and English at O’ Level.
- Skills and Competencies:
Business acumen, good time Management, Stress Management, Reporting,
Written & Oral Communication, Planning, Coaching, Quality Control,
Decision Making, Team building, Problem solving, Delegation, Change
Management, Emotional intelligence, Advocacy, Motivation, Negotiation. - Age: Below 40 years
