Engineer
in South Africa. Our business is operating and maintaining Nalubaale and Kiira
hydroelectric Power Stations. Their mission is to be the “Centre of Excellence
in Power Concession Management.”
Planner will be tasked with effectively planning, scheduling of maintenance
activities in relation to scheduled maintenance, opportunity maintenance
routines, preventive maintenance and condition based maintenance while
considering resource planning to achieve efficient and safe maintenance in-line
with technical standards.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all work packages that have
been agreed on upon by outage leaders, supervisors and section heads to be
executed in the planned outages are assigned work orders in a timely
manner. - Work closely with the supervisors to
allocate and avail resources for the activities booked in the work orders
as well as outages. - Lead planned outages as allocated by your
supervisor - Ensure prompt development, coordination
and implementation of mitigation plans that could cause significant
threats schedule and cost variances during the outage. - The incumbent will improve work order
usage and clarity by validating raised notification, liaise with the
respective departments to ensure closure and validate the closed out
notification with the originator. - Prioritize notifications and ensure
respective work orders are issued on time. - Keep track of all backlogs and reschedule
as required. - Plan for routine maintenance through
implementing the 52 weeks plan and notification management procedures. - The jobholder will define or verify
existing work processes, improve the technical database in SAP, record
measuring points and create plans for new maintenance activities - Ensure the CMMS codification is up to date
- Ensure that for all new documents
received, transmittal notes are issued out for easy tracking. - For all documents are loaned out through
the use of the document loaning system.

Experience:
- The ideal candidate should preferably hold
a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering - Member of Uganda Institute of Professional
Engineers is an added advantage - At least three years of experience in an
industrial setting - Computer literacy skills i.e. proficiency
in Ms. Word, excel
application letters, copies of academic certificates and updated CVs including
