Banking Operations will carry out strategic, administrative, financial
management and business development and support roles by organizing and
supervising banking services and operations related functions and activities.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, oversee, manage and direct the
banking operations of BRAC Uganda Microfinance Limited, establish
strategies, develop goals and objective, set priorities, monitor the
service quality, participate in budget development and administration,
controls and makes routine reports to top management. - The incumbent will also design, develop
and regularly review the bank’s operations policies and procedures manuals
and ensure there is a good balance between service delivery and risk
management. - Re- engineer business process to ensure
improved operations, customer service quality, cost effective and tight
controls through effective documentation in form of user guides and
process maps. - Establish and administer a wide variety of
banking services, investments, enforce effective liquidity management,
reconciliations, asset and liability management, ensure diversification of
revenue stream and general institutional sustainability. - Performs any other or related duties as
assigned by the supervisor.
Experience:
- The ideal candidate for the Head of
Banking Operations job opportunity should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in
banking or other related field. Possession of a Master’s Degree in
business related discipline is added advantage - At least eight years’ experience in
banking operations in a regulated financial institution like commercial
banks or tier 2 (credit institution) - At least years’ experience as Head of
operations or operations manager. - Broad knowledge and understanding of
Micro-finance operations.
