Mandela National Stadium Limited often referred to as Namboole Stadium
is a multi-purpose stadium in Kampala, Uganda. It is currently used mostly for
football matches, although other sports are also practiced. Mandela National
Stadium Limited was incorporated as a company in 1999 and it’s fully owned by
both the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development and the
Ministry of Education and Sports.

Job Summary: The Maintenance
Supervisor will be tasked with ensuring the proper running of all equipment at
the stadium by scheduling and overseeing all maintenance activities.

Key Duties and
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- Ensure proper running of the maintenance
department and supervise all electrical, mechanical, and civil works at
the stadium; - Mentor and supervise all technical staff
and ensure proper execution of the maintenance activities (repairs &
service of equipment); - Formulate the maintenance schedule for
staff and plan all maintenance work; (routine, preventive, emergency,
etc); - Take custody of all maintenance equipment
and maintain an up-to-date register; - Make periodic reports to management about
the department activities and status of the stadium equipment; - Run and manage the department budget;
- Tasked with evaluating the condition of
equipment or systems such as air conditioning, generators, lifts etc. on a
regular basis; - Ensuring adequate lighting in all areas;
- Perform any other tasks/duties that may be
assigned from time to time
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
Experience:
- The ideal candidate should preferably hold
a Higher Diploma in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering - Additional training in management or
administration is an added advantage. - A certificate qualification in Sports Administration is an added
advantage - At least two years’ experience in similar
job roles - Previous experience in a facilities
management of which two must have been at supervisory level in a reputable
facility. - Excellent communication skills
