specialists. The overall objective of the IDI is to strengthen health systems
with strong emphasis on Infectious Diseases, through Research and Capacity

its mission: Prevention, Care and Treatment; Training, Research and Laboratory

As part of its comprehensive HIV/AIDS services, the Infectious Diseases
Institute (IDI) offers free Voluntary Male Medical Circumcision for HIV
prevention in the Mid-Western and West Nile regions of Uganda.

Job Summary: The Logistics
Officer will support the Finance and Administrative Assistant in the management
and storage of key project logistics.

Key Duties and
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- Steer the process of Logistics management
of supplies in alignment with MOH guidelines. - Build Logistics management capacity in
supported sites, through mentorship and on-site training. - Keenly track and account for all project
related surgical and pharmaceutical products and supplies. - Provide support in forecasting and
quantification of key supplies. - Prepare and submit reports on all the
activities relating to VMMC Logistics management.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant for the Logistics Officer
job placement should preferably hold a Diploma in Pharmacy. - One year of experience in a clinical setting
- Knowledge
of pharmaceutical principles, practices, equipment and supplies - Knowledge
of Ugandan law regulating pharmacology - Demonstrated
ability to train other health care workers. - Ability
to use Logistics data for decision-making. - Excellent
report writing and presentation skills.
