Resource and Administration Manager
established by the UPPC Act 1992 Cap.30 as a leading Government printer
mandated to provide printing and publishing facilities to the government
ministries, departments, and parastatal bodies .private companies, individuals
and organizations. The corporation prints and publishes all government
legislation and documents and undertakes security printing works.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure proper management of the front desk
as the face of the Corporation. - Actively promote a team among the front
office staff. - Carry out front desk administrative duties
and offer good customer care services to both internal clients and
external clients - Collaborate with security personnel on
control of access and adhering to security procedures - Provide general support to heads of
departments mainly in typing of reports, internal memos and other
correspondences; - Keep record of all business that takes
place at the Corporation; - Receive and direct visitors to the
appropriate offices and ensure comfort to those waiting at the reception; - Avail basic information to clients as they
wait at the reception with a mind of making business for the Corporation; - Maintain a front desk visitor’s register.
- The incumbent will attend to incoming
telephone calls and transfer them accordingly or offer the required
responses accordingly in consultation with the concerned officers; - Maintain the Outgoing and Incoming mail
registers - Actively participate in organizing
Corporation’s ceremonies and events; - The jobholder will deliver internal mail
and personal documents services accordingly; - Perform any other duties as may be
assigned from time to time
Experience:
should preferably hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Office Management, Development
studies, Secretarial or Public Relations;
- A minimum of two years’ experience in an
administrative environment - Computer literacy and working knowledge of
the major computer programs; - Excellent communication skills, i.e. oral
and written. - Excellent interpersonal skills.
- High standards of integrity with a clean
track record. - High degree of confidentiality
- Good team building skills.
- Keen attention to detail
- Highly organized with ability to
multi-task. - Creative and innovative with a forward
thinking approach. - Ability to prioritize, organize, own work
load and manage projects to completion. - Ability to work well under pressure and
with tight time constraints.
